Roger Cowe Director
Roger has contributed to the development of corporate sustainability since the late 1980s as a business journalist on The Guardian newspaper and later as a freelance writer. His writing has appeared in the Financial Times and many other publications, and he has authored major reports for organisations ranging from the Association of British Insurers to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). He also produced the Guardian/Observer Business and Society conference.
Roger joined Context in 2005 and directs reporting and communications projects for multinational clients. This has included supporting the WBCSD's Energy Efficiency in Buildings initiative, which reported in April 2009. He edited the interim report of The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity project, launched in Bonn in 2008. He also runs regular "copy clinics" for Context team members to share ideas and hone their writing skills.
Roger qualified as a management accountant and has an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is an external director of EIRIS, the responsible investment research organisation.
