Polly Ghazi Editor-Writer, Context AmericaPolly has 20 years' experience writing on sustainability issues as a journalist, consultant and author. Before joining Context in August 2011, she was senior writer-editor at the World Resources Institute, where she wrote op-eds and blogs for WRI's president. She has worked as a freelance sustainability writer and communications strategist with clients from the non-profit, public policy and corporate sectors. From 1989-1995 she was the Environment Correspondent of The Observer, a UK national Sunday newspaper.
Polly has published three books, including the bestselling Downshifting: A Guide to Happier, Simpler Living and The Low Carbon Diet, published in 2007.
Context clients Polly writes for include PepsiCo, Bloomberg, Sodexo, Citi and Motorola Mobility.
She is based in Washington D.C.

Phoebe Hayes Consultant, Context EuropePhoebe joined Context in July 2012 and works on projects for Unilever, GlaxoSmithKline and Vodafone.
Prior to joining Context, Phoebe worked in Bangladesh as part of the business development team for an international development NGO. She has also worked as a recruitment consultant for Michael Page Finance.
Phoebe has a master?s degree in Development Management and a bachelor?s degree in Geography, both from the University of Manchester. -
Beckie Herbert Affiliate, Context EuropeBeckie helps clients including BAE Systems, BT, GSK and WPP to develop innovative and compelling CS communications (including many award winning reports). Beckie is a trained facilitator and has run engagements for Context clients on topics as diverse as access to medicine in emerging economies to consumer issues in the UK mobile market.
Before joining Context in 2002, Beckie worked at the Environment Council, an NGO promoting sustainable development and stakeholder dialogue for business.
She has an MA in history from Edinburgh University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. -
<Peter T. Knight President of Context America IncPeter is President of Context America Inc and co-founder of the Context Group. He is based in New York. He advises on sustainability strategy and communications and is an accomplished writer, public speaker and moderator.
For over 20 years Peter has worked with some of the world's top corporations, including Bloomberg, The Estée Lauder Companies, Caterpillar, Citi, Kimberly-Clark, Morgan Stanley, International Paper, Roche, Shell, Unilever and United Technologies.
Peter is a former UK Environment Journalist of the Year and was a regular contributor to the Financial Times. He has worked with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, co-authoring the organization's reports and books, including Financing Change, an exploration of the role of finance in sustainable development.
Peter is the co-author of The Green Business Guide and writes two monthly columns: Letter from America in Ethical Corporation Magazine and Out of Context in GreenBiz.

Lisa Leath Consultant, Context EuropeLisa joined Context in November 2012 as a sustainability report writer. She is working on reporting and communications projects for clients such as Centrica.
Lisa is a communications specialist with a background in investor relations and digital marketing. She previously worked in communications at the corporate governance consultancy PIRC and managed digital marketing at Sleek MakeUP. Prior to that, she taught English as a Second Language and provided translation services for multinationals in Brazil.
Lisa holds a master?s degree in International Applied Communication from the University of Central Lancashire. She has a long-standing interest in sustainability and is currently working towards certification in Sustainable Business Management at the University of California, Irvine, in her spare time.

Kristen Marzocca Consultant, Context AmericaKristen joined Context's New York office in June of 2012. She works on projects for clients such as BD, Bloomberg, and International Paper.
Prior to joining Context, Kristen worked in the clean technology sector at a small start-up company. She also has worked with non-profits such as Blue Ocean Institute and NYC Audubon Society.
Kristen has a master's degree in Environmental Conservation Education from New York University. Her thesis focused on eco-labels as a driver of corporate sustainability. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Villanova University.

Peter Mason Affiliate, Context EuropePeter joined Context in September 2011 from Ethical Performance, the international corporate sustainability newsletter.
Peter works closely with clients on sustainability strategy, reporting and communications. In particular, he advises on planning and writing corporate sustainability reports, preparing white papers and research documents, and developing sustainability communications strategies with clearly identified objectives, audiences, and messages.
Peter has broad corporate sustainability knowledge across all sectors, combined with top-quality writing and communication skills. As one of the world's leading journalists and commentators on corporate sustainability, he also has in-depth knowledge of who's who in the field.
Prior to Ethical Performance, Peter spent 20 years in various journalistic roles in the UK, including as news editor of Green magazine, on the foreign desk of The Guardian newspaper, and as a freelancer for several national newspapers.
He has also written seven books including, most recently, a biography of the sportsman-turned-statesman Sir Learie Constantine.

Since 2004, she has helped Context clients understand stakeholder expectations and navigate the complexities of CS strategy, communications and reporting.
Scarlet supports clients in developing comprehensive sustainability communications strategies, leading a wide range of projects from transparent and credible CS reporting to pithy online, internal and marketing communications. She also runs stakeholder engagement events and helps companies communicate policy positions and technical research findings on specific issues.

Alex Parkinson Senior Consultant, Context AmericaAlex works in New York, having spent two years in our London office. He is a former financial journalist with a keen interest in business, development and sustainability. He joined Context in May 2008 from Business XL and Information Age.
As a journalist, Alex regularly reported on corporate social responsibility in the accounting industry, and among start-ups and growing companies. He gained experience in editing and design while working as a production editor on business and investment titles. At Context, he has worked on projects for Bloomberg, Brown-Forman, Cisco, The Estée Lauder Companies, HP, Roche, Sky, Standard Chartered, Syngenta, and Vodafone. He also maintains the Context website.
Alex has a degree in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath.

Jaycee Pribulsky Senior Vice President, Context AmericaJaycee is a political junkie turned corporate sustainability specialist. She began her career in the Clinton administration at the U.S. Agency for International Development and later managed initiatives, events and programs at the White House for both President Clinton and the First Lady. Jaycee developed her business acumen managing corporate responsibility activities at United Technologies Corporation and international community relations at Citi. She has over 15 years of experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors creating, launching and managing innovative programs in domestic and international markets. In addition to leading our New York office, Jaycee advises clients on a wide range of sustainability issues ? from strategy development to internal and external communications ? and is accomplished speaker and moderator.
Jaycee works with companies in a wide range of sectors, including Bloomberg, Cisco, Hasbro, International Paper and Sysco.
Jaycee holds a bachelor's degree in French and public communications from American University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Simon Propper CEO, Context AmericaSimon founded Context with Peter Knight in 1997, following five years with leading environmental consultancy Enviros. After graduating in chemical engineering he spent ten years in consumer protection roles at the UK Advertising Standards Authority and its equivalent in television regulation.
In 2011, Simon relocated to Los Angeles to provide strategic services to our west coast clients and continue the growth of Context in America. Recently he has worked closely with Centrica, HP, Life Technologies, Motorola, Vodafone and WPP.
Simon has been instrumental in developing Context's services in strategy, marketing communication, reporting, stakeholder engagement and employee communications. He speaks regularly at conferences and client seminars and is an experienced facilitator of conference panels and management meetings.

Heather Rankin Vice President, Head of EuropeHeather is an industrial engineer turned corporate sustainability specialist. She developed her business knowledge and project management skills at Silentnight Beds, before moving into the sustainability field as a social and environmental researcher for FRC Group. She later became a consultant at Flag Communication before joining Context in October 2006.
In addition to leading our London office, Heather advises clients on a wide range of sustainability issues and communications. She facilitates engagement with opinion leaders and is an experienced trainer on sustainability issues. Heather has qualifications in environmental, health and safety management, and social and ethical auditing and reporting.
Heather works with companies in a wide range of sectors, including HP, Kazakhmys and RSA.

Emerie Snyder Office and Marketing Manager, Context AmericaEmerie joined the Context America team in August 2012 as Office and Marketing Manager. She is responsible for administrative management and bookkeeping for the New York office, as well as marketing initiatives and event planning.
Emerie has over 6 years of administrative experience at diverse organizations, including Pomegranate Arts, EMpower - The Emerging Markets Foundation, and 37 Arts.
She is also a professional theatre director and actor, and founder/artistic director of The Intentional Theatre Group.

Derek Sylvan Senior Consultant, Context AmericaDerek has over eight years of experience in the media industry, writing and producing documentaries and online news content for such outlets as Major League Baseball Advanced Media and the environmental media organization Inform Inc. Prior to joining Context, he consulted on sustainability and media strategy for some of KPMG's public sector clients and authored reports on climate and energy issues for the Brookings Institution and the League of Conservation Voters.
Derek's writing has appeared in State of the Planet, Sustainable Times, and the Journal of Public and International Affairs. He has also written and edited publications for the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures.
Derek has a master's degree in environmental policy from Columbia University, as well as a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.

Elizabeth Walker Sobhani Affiliate, BeijingElizabeth has over 15 years experience in management consulting, assisting companies, nonprofits and foundations.
She has worked for Bain & Company in Canada and Australia, leading projects to create strategic growth opportunities, enhance operational efficiencies, redesign organizations, and manage change effectively. At ACE Limited (global re/insurance) she ran the global strategic initiatives group, leading many projects that were global in scope focusing on post-merger integration, organizational redesign, change management and on creating ACE?s global philanthropy strategy.

Pete Statham Consultant, Context EuropePete joined Context in November 2012, and works on research, reporting and communications projects for clients including Nokia Siemens Networks.
Prior to joining Context, Pete gained experience in corporate sustainability working at Business in the Community and engineering and environmental consultancy WSP Group.
Pete holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Exeter.

Sonya Wratten Office Manager, Context EuropeSonya joined Context in February 2010 as part time Office Manager.
An experienced Event Management Consultant, she has worked with several FTSE 100 clients over the past 15 years.
Sonya manages the administration and accounts for the London office and is mum of two.

Roger Cowe Affiliate, Context EuropeRoger has contributed to the development of corporate sustainability since the late 1980s as a business journalist on The Guardian newspaper and later as a freelance writer. His writing has appeared in the Financial Times and many other publications, and he has authored major reports for organisations ranging from the Association of British Insurers to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). He also produced the Guardian/Observer Business and Society conference.
Roger joined Context in 2005 and directs reporting and communications projects for multinational clients. This has included supporting the WBCSD's Energy Efficiency in Buildings initiative, which reported in April 2009. He edited the interim report of The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity project, launched in Bonn in 2008. He also runs regular "copy clinics" for Context team members to share ideas and hone their writing skills.
Roger qualified as a management accountant and has an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is an external director of EIRIS, the responsible investment research organisation.
