List site Toptenz highlights how creative websites are helping charities boost donations as they face a decline in giving due to the economic downturn. Visitors to the number 1 site, Free Rice, run by the World Food Programme, have donated over 96 billion grains of rice in the past five years with correct answers to a quiz.

1. Free Rice – play, learn and donate 10 grains of rice for every correct answer
